It has been over 15 years since the first time Holiday Inn was recognized in business travel awards. In 1994 they only had 150 properties in this country. Today they a have over one thousand hotels all over the world. This growth is due to the Holiday hotel express ability to provide their vacation oriented customers accommodations who can do without all the bells and whistles, and are more interested in a fresh clean room with clean sheets and covers then flat screen tv’s.
Not all but most people who travel in these hard times are looking for some kind of vacation package or just a inexpensive place to put their head down to sleep at night. After a day at some kind of amusement park or an entire day of shopping they just want to hit the sack. Sometimes in places like Florida they do use their room a little more. They tend to go in at the hottest part of the day to get out of the heat and relax for a few hours going back out when things cool down.
Many people do not even spend as much as six or seven hours in their hotel room, unless they are honeymooners. They come to town with some kind of vacation package and go directly to an amusement park like Busch Gardens and stay there until they close.
Then they go and check into their hotel or resort. After checking in they go to their room, bring in their luggage look around and then go out for a late night snack. Although the trend these days in just to have a pizza delivered to the room to save as much of your resources as possible if traveling on a budget.
On the other hand there are people who like to go to expensive hotels or resorts. The reason being is they spend much more time in their accommodations relaxing and enjoying each other’s company. Heaving separate bedrooms Is very appealing when traveling with family and friends. But still gives the vacationers the feeling of being close compared to having separate rooms like in a hotel. They wake up in the morning and are able to sit around a table in the kitchen and have a cup of coffee or breakfast before going out on the town. Also there is no fighting over the tv as there is one in every room and makes for a much more relaxing vacation if you are traveling with children.
So if you are one of those people who just want a vacation package that has a clean hotel where you can just put your head down to sleep at night, and don’t care about all the bells and whistles a inexpensive hotel is all you probably need. The point is why spend $ 150.oo a night for a hotel room you are only going to sleep in, when you can get a 2 bedroom resort for the same price?
